Description

Wanted to do something a bit different today, try something urban and work on color schemes.

And yes, the title is based on the Nicholas Winding Refn film-beautiful in visuals, with a weak plot. They tend to use this palette in a lot of their shots.

This isn't an official character, but maybe a short story will suffice.

She was dead.

It wasn't like it doesn't happen to all of us at some point, but she was too young to go. Too beautiful. She was a show horse, an Akhal-Teke, and was part of a long, valuable bloodline. Had she not been poisoned, maybe she would still be showing and making money for her proud owners. She was almost as proud as they were when it came to her own fascination of how she looked-slender, strong legs, a shiny coat, and glistening blue eyes.

It seemed her work as a show horse wasn't over, because she was still a dweller on this dying planet. And she was fine with that-though her husk had been put in a gallery of her stables (which made her shiver), the mare's soul still lingered, and wandered far from home towards the nearest city. It was so different here-it seemed less relaxed and a source of the death this planet was receiving. She saw her own kind here, police on their backs, and they looked less lively and stockier than her more slender self. They didn't know she was there, and the mare was content with this. They were beneath her, anyway.

Her most favorite time of the day was when the sun was no longer visible. She could admire herself in store windows from the neon glow from signs that hung there. She could see herself at daytime, sure, but the hue the light gave off at night was more exhilarating than what any other time of day could display. She was a vain little demon, but at night, she was a neon demon.
